Settlement reached in death of man killed in Morgan truck crash

In previous posts we have mentioned the option for family members of someone who has died in a truck accident, to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the party responsible. Deaths of bicyclists on U.S. roads on the rise

While the colder weather beginning to move into Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota is likely prompting some residents to put their bicycles into storage for winter, there are others who will continue to use them year round. Many of these individuals use them to commute to their jobs. According to a report recently issued by the Governors Highway Safety Association those individuals may have something to do with the increase in bicyclists dying on roads throughout the nation. Between the years of 2010 and 2012 that number increased 16 percent.

GM creates victim compensation fund

Several months ago we wrote about a wrongful death lawsuit that the families of two Wisconsin teens who were killed in a car accident filed against several defendants. In it, they allege that crash and deaths were the result of problems with the car in which they were travelling. The car accident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle when it stalled. The loss of control cased the car to run into trees after leaving the road.
