Keeping pedestrians who are children safe

In most cases parents and guardians want to do everything they can to keep their children safe. As a result, while with their kids most spend a lot of time trying to anticipate issues that could arise and keep them safe. Once children reach a certain age however, that is not practical and parents need to make sure their kids know how to act in certain situations.

Car accidents can cause serious injuries

When a car accident occurs, the expense tied to property damage can be exorbitant. While that alone can be a pain to deal with, in some situations there are other issues that arise as well. Depending on the circumstances surrounding a crash individuals involved could suffer personal injuries as well. When the injuries are serious in nature they can lead to a long period of recovery, disability or even death.  While there are of course many different types of injuries that could result from a car accident those to the chest, neck, back and head are some of the most catastrophic.

Drunk driving laws in Wisconsin unique

As residents of the state of Wisconsin may be aware, the state is somewhat unique when it comes to drunk driving since in most cases a first offense is not deemed to be criminal in nature. According to the Leadership Chair of Wisconsin for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, it is not even a misdemeanor. In addition, Wisconsin is one of only a handful of states in which it is illegal for law enforcement to setup sobriety checkpoints.

Faulty brakes may be to blame in fatal truck accident

As is the case with virtually any type of motor vehicle accident, there are multiple reasons why such an incident could occur. While in many situations driver error could be to blame, it is also possible that equipment issues could be at fault. This is true whether the incident involves a car or a truck. A fatal truck accident that recently occurred in Western Wisconsin illustrates this possibility.
