Will pilot program lead to reduction of truck accidents?

The trucking industry is fraught with dangers for drivers. In some cases these dangers extend to other drivers on the road as well when they lead to a crash occurring. This is an issue throughout the nation as according to 2012 statistics, around 317,000 crashes that year. That same year, 3,921 individuals died in crashes involving trucks.

Though lovely, autumn can be dangerous for drivers

Many people in the state of Wisconsin enjoy this time of year. The cool temperatures and beautiful colors of the leaves as they change prompt many people to spend as much time out and about as possible. Despite these things, the fall season can be dangerous when it comes to automobile accidents. There are multiple reasons for this.

Drunk driving in the state of Wisconsin

Each day motor vehicle accidents occur in the state of Wisconsin. There are multiple reasons that they occur. While sometimes something other than driver activity is to blame for such an incident, much of the time it is the exact opposite and a person behind the wheel of a car is at fault. That fault may be the result of multiple negligent activities including drunk driving. Drunk driving accidents can result in serious injuries to those involved and sometimes even death.

Following collision motorists involved must remain at scene

When a vehicle driven by an individual who is following the rules of the road is struck by another vehicle, it can be infuriating. When the second vehicle fails to stop and leaves the scene of the accident it adds insult in injury. In addition to morally being the right thing to do following a collision, legally, drivers involved in crashes must stop as soon as it is safe for them to do so. This is true regardless of whether the vehicle struck was occupied at the time of the crash.

Will movement to keep car seats rear-facing longer catch on?

It is always upsetting to learn that someone has died in a motor vehicle accident. This is particularly true when it is a young child who is killed. To help keep the very young safe in case a car accident should occur, states throughout the nation, including Wisconsin, require that car seats be used until children reach a certain weight and height.

Accidents involving semi-trucks can be devastating

In any semi truck accident there are potentially multiple factors to blame. Some are the result of loads that are not secured property or equipment failure. Others are due to driver behaviors such as fatigue or alcohol or drug use. In still other cases actions that constitute distracted driving, such as using a phone or texting are the cause.  An accident caused by any of these factors could lead to someone being seriously injured or killed. That person may even be you or someone you love.
