Wisconsin woman dies from head injury suffered in crash

Numerous news stories about accidents involving fatalities throughout the country and here in Wisconsin involve drivers and passengers that were not properly restrained during a crash. These stories serve as a good reminder for anyone riding in a vehicle to buckle up. Drunk drivers expected this Super Bowl Sunday

This weekend is Super Bowl Sunday, which means that many people in Wisconsin and the rest of the country will be drinking while they watch the big game. It also means that some of these people will make the bad decision to get behind the wheel of their vehicles after they have had too much to drink, and a few of these individuals will end up causing fatal car accidents.

No charges to be filed in Wisconsin fatal accident between boats

Wisconsin auto-pedestrian accidents: Woman hurt after hit-and-run

As Wisconsin residents are well aware, it is not uncommon to see pedestrians out and about along the roadways. Because of this, it is absolutely crucial that vehicle drivers pay attention and are aware of pedestrians when present. Negligent or distracted drivers may not see pedestrians, which often results in auto-pedestrian accidents. These collisions can result in serious injuries or fatalities, so practicing appropriate safety measures is crucial for both pedestrians and drivers.

Teens multitasking behind the wheel increases risk of crash

Before teenagers can get their driver's license, they have to take educational classes and pass the state test before they are allowed to drive. New drivers may understand the rules of the road and be cautious at first, but a new study found that new teen drivers start to drive distracted after just a couple months of driving.

Number of fatal car accident deaths in Wisconsin drops

Now that 2013 is over, the Accident Records Unit of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is tallying up numbers regarding accidents on the state's roads. One of the first statistics the unit has released is the number of car accident deaths for the year. The results reveal that last year was the safest year the state has seen in some 69 years.

Wisconsin car accident deaths lowest since World War II

Not since World War II has the number of deaths due to car accidents been as low as it was as of Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013. On that date, the number of Wisconsin car accident deaths in Wisconsin was at 519, which even beats the 2009 number of 542. The reduction is attributed to more traffic enforcement and education regarding the use of seat belts and the dangers of drunk driving.
