Madison woman killed after stepping out of car on Highway 30

While sun glare may have been a factor in a fatal accident that claimed the life of a 58-year-old Madison woman, it may not be enough to stop Wisconsin police from pressing charges of negligence against the driver responsible for hitting her. Now, as the investigation continues, people in the community and the victim's family are likely wondering what will happen after the investigation is completed.

Man dies from injuries sustained in Wisconsin auto accident

The Wisconsin State Patrol and local authorities are still trying to figure out what caused a pickup truck that had a large trailer attached to it to crash. All three of the occupants in the vehicle at the time of the auto accident had to be taken to an area hospital for treatment. Since that time, one of the vehicle's passengers has passed away.

1 killed and 1 injured in Wisconsin motorcycle vs. car accident

People that drive in enclosed vehicles such as cars, jeeps or SUVs sometimes forget just how vulnerable motorcycle riders and their passengers are in comparison. When a motorcycle is involved in a car accident, the damage done to the rider and the rider's passenger, if any, will undoubtedly be more severe than to the occupants of the enclosed vehicle. Most Wisconsin drivers know that it is necessary to exercise additional care when driving around motorcycles.

Fatal head-on collision in Wisconsin claims two, injuries three

The surviving victims of a deadly two-vehicle crash may seek compensation in the future from the person responsible for causing a head-on collision just days ago. Unfortunately, they will have to wait until police complete their investigation before taking the next steps in seeking justice for their injuries.

Illinois man dies in Waupaca County accident

The sheriff's department in Waupaca County has identified a 41-year-old Illinois man as the person who was killed when the boat he was riding in flipped over. In what appears to be a drunk driving accident, the boat was being towed by a truck when it flipped over. The victim sustained massive head injuries when he was ejected from the boat and died at the scene. A 13-year-old boy, who was also in the boat the time of the accident, was also ejected but did not sustain injuries.

Deerfield man with suspended license sentenced in deadly crash

The surviving victim of a June 2012 motorcycle accident did not get the exact justice he may have wanted when Dane County Circuit Judge Julie Genovese sentenced the driver responsible to three years probation with nine months in jail. It was an accident that was emotionally difficult for the 50-year-old victim to relive in the Dane County courtroom last month, especially because it was a crash that left him seriously injured and claimed the life of his girlfriend.
